Your books are spread across stores, and nobody can tell which series comes first.
Followers on social media and reviews on a store page are not a list you can reach.
Launch plans, ARC copies, newsletters, and deadlines for every book live in a dozen places.
How your website fixes it
The tools that make the biggest difference for independent authors, built into your site.
Some services may require additional cost.
An about the author page with your story, photos, and where to find you.
Every series gets its own page with the reading order, so a new reader knows exactly where to start.
Each book gets one link that sends readers to their own country's Amazon or the store they prefer.
A friendly pop-up offers new visitors a free short story or sample chapter for joining your list.
Publish appearances, collect RSVPs, and let readers who choose to share their city hear about events near them.
Paying members get exclusive short stories, behind-the-scenes posts, and early releases.
Free with your website
Every author website comes with a private portal for the business side of writing. No extra monthly fee, and no stack of separate apps.
Add and edit your books, series, and links. Changes show up on your site right away.
Design emails in a drag-and-drop editor, send them, and see who opened and clicked.

New readers get a welcome series on their own, and email rules send the right message at the right time.
Print a QR code in the back of a book. Readers scan it for a free bonus, and you see how many scans each book gets.
Your steps from idea to publish, with a checklist for each one. See where every book is at a glance, from a premade template or your own.
Take ARC team applications, send early copies, and keep track of who has posted a review.
Bounced and complained addresses are removed for you, which keeps your emails landing in inboxes and your sending costs down.
Give an assistant or editor their own login, with only the parts they need switched on.
Change your homepage for a launch, a holiday, or a season, with the dates set ahead of time.
AI help, if you want it
Writing books is enough writing. AI can draft your newsletters and launch emails, and nothing goes out until you read it and press Send.
Already use an AI assistant? Connect it to your portal and let it draft newsletters from your books, your news, and your past emails.
No AI account of your own? Add our built-in assistant to your portal for $15 a month and draft emails right inside the editor.
Sell direct
Sell signed paperbacks, ebooks, audiobooks, and bundles through your own checkout. You only pay Stripe's card processing fee. Sunburst Studio takes nothing from your sales.
Good to knowBooks enrolled in Kindle Unlimited (KDP Select) can't be sold as ebooks anywhere else, including your own site. Paperbacks, hardcovers, audiobooks, and ebooks that aren't in Kindle Unlimited are fine.
Newsletter costs
Authors tend to have big lists, so here is exactly how newsletter sending is billed. You pay what our email provider charges us, currently $0.10 for every 1,000 emails, with no markup. If the provider changes its price, the pass-through changes with it.
Automatic emails, like welcome emails, receipts, and download links, are free for the first 3,000 a month. See every price on the pricing page.
Not upsells. These come standard.
